5 Things Causing You Stress on Your Fertility Journey

One thing I hear over and over from women and couples I work with is that there is no shortage of stress on Your Fertility Journey!

The consensus is… it’s stressful!

As we all know, stress can be a real monster, affecting not just our overall health but also our fertility health, too!

When you’re constantly feeling stressed, you lose the balance within your body because it feels under pressure. It goes into survival mode.

On this episode of The Fertility Godmother’s Show on YouTube, I talked about five surprising things that are causing you stress on Your Fertility Journey.

It’s important to remember that when it comes to stress and fertility, the key is to nip stress in the bud before it becomes overwhelming.

Becoming aware of the things causing your body stress is the first step.

5 Surprising Things Stressing You Out:

  • Blue Light: Exposure to blue light at night suppresses the production of the sleep hormone melatonin and disrupts your circadian rhythm, which is your body’s internal clock that regulates your sleep-wake cycle. Sleep plays a critical role in regulating the hormonal balance in your body, including the hormones that affect fertility!
  • Endless Notifications: Your phone or computer – The endless notifications and alerts not only affect your dopamine levels but can make it difficult to focus on tasks or relax, leading to a feeling of being constantly on edge.
  • Diet: What you eat really plays a role in how your body responds! If you’re not eating well, your body has to work extra hard to balance and function properly.
  • What You Drink: Are you getting enough water? Are you drinking too much sugar? Make sure you’re hydrating properly.
  • What You Think: The way you talk to yourself MATTERS! Pay attention to how you treat yourself on a moment-to-moment basis.
