Prepare Your Body For A Healthy Pregnancy

Prepare for pregnancy

It’s important to prepare your body by getting as healthy as possible before pregnancy.

If you’re in the process of trying to prepare your body for pregnancy but are not sure what to do for a positive pregnancy outcome, this is for you.

On this episode of The Fertility Godmother Show, I shared just how important it is to prepare your body for pregnancy and a couple of things you should ask your Doctor before you get pregnant.

Key Steps to Prepare for Pregnancy:

Taking care of your health before you try to get pregnant is essential to improve your chances of getting pregnant having a healthy pregnancy and ultimately having a healthy baby.

  • Opt for a High-Quality Prenatal Vitamin: One of the first steps to prepare for pregnancy is to ensure you’re on a high-quality prenatal vitamin. High-quality prenatals provide essential nutrients that support your health and the development of your baby. Watch the full episode now to see how to pick out high-quality supplements.
  • Adopt a Nutritious Diet: To prepare for pregnancy, focus on eating a balanced diet rich in high-quality proteins, healthy fats, vegetables, and fiber. This diet improves your chances of getting pregnant and supports a healthy pregnancy.
  • Engage in Regular Exercise: Regular physical activity is vital as you prepare for pregnancy. It helps reduce stress, improves circulation, and balances hormones, all of which are beneficial for fertility.
  • Avoid Harmful Substances: Steering clear of tobacco, excessive alcohol, and recreational drugs is essential when preparing for pregnancy. These substances can negatively impact fertility and the health of your future baby.

Potential problems

Before you get pregnant, you need to consider the potential problems and issues that might potentially affect you or your baby later on.

For example, you need to determine if you have any preexisting conditions that could affect your pregnancy, your health, and the health of your baby. Conditions like diabetes, hypertension high blood pressure, or thyroid disorders can affect your pregnancy and your health and it can also affect the health of your baby.

Another really important thing is discussing any medications that you’re on with your Doctors or healthcare providers.

A lot of medications are safe during pregnancy but many can be harmful to your baby during pregnancy so making sure that you discuss those things with your healthcare provider is super important!

You need to advocate for yourself with your Doctors.

You may be the one that has to ask these questions because unfortunately, our Doctors are overworked and they don’t have a lot of time so they may miss it… So, it’s so important that you’re your best advocate so make sure to ask these questions.
